PATCHWORK
Slate Contemporary Gallery is pleased to present Patchwork,
a group show featuring five Bay Area-based artists working in a variety of art forms to create optically mesmerizing designs
through a language of patterning, and gives fresh context to the use of patchwork in art.
Another common thread shared by the artists is the meticulous construction process with an emphasis on the artists’ hand.
Included in the exhibition are paintings, photography, mixed media collage, and fabric.
Each work is a nod to both contemporary craft and the rich history of textiles in art.
